A customizable fidget spinner button system that promotes user personalization through interchangeable shapes and colors
For this project, I designed a set of interchangeable buttons for a fidget spinner, with a focus on customization and user interaction. Using Rhino 3D modeling software, I developed several button designs that can be mixed and matched based on user preference. The aim was to encourage personalization by offering a variety of shapes and colors, and my initial collection features floral inspired designs.
Once modeled, I 3D printed the prototypes to test their form, fit, and functionality. Special attention was given to the connection mechanism to ensure seamless attachment and removal, allowing for smooth rotation and user comfort. I also created high quality renderings of the designs to visualize different material and color combinations. To complete the process, I fabricated a real life version of the buttons to demonstrate both aesthetic and functional success.
